Friendship Week at Headlands
This week is national anti bullying week. At Headlands, we have been talking about ‘uniqueness’ and respecting difference. The children have worn odd socks to school to represent difference. Thankfully, incidents of bullying are rare at our school. To continue to ensure that children feel safe, we have reminded the children about what bullying is and that everyone has the right to feel safe. (Further details on forthcoming Headlines.) Each term, the children review their protective hand, highlighting those people that they could go to if they feel unhappy or sad. Ensuring that children are safe is paramount for the school. Our enduring focus on positive relationships is important to ensure that school is a happy and safe place to be.
