Year 4 music producers:

Today Year 4 became music producers.

In their afternoon sessions, in collaboration with the National Gallery in London,  Year 4 have been studying the painting ‘A ship wreck on stormy seas’ by Vernet.

We were very lucky to have John Bowman from Notivate come into school to work with us.

Using the painting as inspiration, children created songs about the story of the painting.

They worked together to create some lyrics, create a backing track and sing the vocals. Mr Kelly and Mrs Evans were blown away with the children’s singing and their final creations.

The children are very excited to share their songs with you, class 9’s song is called ‘Dreadful cries’, class 10’s song is called ‘The waves are crashing’.
